Award-Winning Locator
Sewerin UT9000 Pro received the honor award in the 2014 Reddot Design Competition. It was developed aesthetically and conveniently by Sewerin R&D engineers, completely considering your needs in the field. You will easily identify the underground water pipe, electrical cable, Telecom cable, data cable. Line detection has never been this easy and enjoyable. Thanks to its unique antenna structure, it will be able to see the line on the compass screen; With the centering technology, you will be able to detect the probe’s point above the ground. With the UT9000, no underground line will remain hidden.
NEW DIMENSION IN PIPE DETECTION
When it comes to underground cable and pipe detection, precision is key. The more precise the measurement, the less the risk of digging the wrong spot. Performance, portability and simple operation are also important for fast and efficient operation. Likewise, versatility and a rugged design are essential for reliable measurements in harsh conditions and inaccessible environments. The UT 9000 is a state-of-the-art locating system that fulfills these requirements with a pioneering design and sets new standards in pipe positioning.
With the latest technology UT 9000 for outstanding performance, the UT 9000 R receiver has the best combination with the UT 9012 TX generator, the most powerful transmitter in its class. With automatic frequency selection, extremely long battery life, surprisingly simple operation and, above all, versatility, the system allows you to tackle any business challenge. Choose the most suitable frequency, connect two pipes at the same time or detect extra long pipe sections. Find pipes accurately or determine pipe depth reliably in harsh environments and in all weather conditions – work faster, more accurately and more efficiently!
EASE OF OPERATION
Use the UT 9000 easily without extensive training. The receiver and generator have an easy operating concept. Structured menus on the open screen show both clear symbols and textual information and thus reliably guide you to your destination.
SMART FREQUENCY SELECTION
The UT 9000 R scans for ambient noise, detects interference signals and recommends the most suitable frequency for passive or active mode. This speeds up your work and makes detection more reliable.
COMFORTABLE USE
The balanced UT 9000 R receiver fits very well in your hand. Perfect for ergonomic wearing comfort and effortless work.
INTERNET UPDATES
You can easily update the software online and load presets into the device. You can choose from 70 different frequencies that are suitable for you and load your personal start screen, for example your company logo. This ensures that the UT 9000 is always up to date and meets your individual needs.
ALWAYS READY TO USE
RELIABLE DEPTH MEASUREMENT
If the receiver is directly above a pipe, the UT 9000 conveniently and automatically determines the depth at which the pipe is located. The calculated value is the distance between the lower edge of the antenna and the center of the tube. The highly sensitive antennas on the UT 9000 R provide above-average detection success rates and exceptionally accessible depth.
HIGH PROTECTION RATE
Dirt, dust, extreme temperatures, rain? No problem thanks to the IP65 protection class and extremely durable construction. The UT 9000 is always ready to work wherever you are or whatever the weather.
IMPRESSIVE EFFICIENCY
STRONG PERFORMANCE
The UT 9012 TX generator transmits at 12 Watts offering unrivaled performance. You can monitor signals for longer and reliably locate even the longest pipe segments.
EXACT LOCATION
If you are unsure of the accuracy of a depth measurement, you can easily and conveniently verify the values using the offset depth with the 45° method (triangulation method). This gives you more reliable and accurate results. Offset depth measurement returns first-class quality values even when obstructions on the pipe in question directly interfere with depth measurement.
DETECTION AND CALIBRATION IN ONE STEP
S+H Locator software connects Trimble GNSS technology to the UT 9000. Location data is transmitted wirelessly via Bluetooth from the pipe finder to the Trimble GIS receiver (eg GeoExplorer) where it is stored with the exact locations. The whole operation is controlled by a button on the UT9000
HAND REMOTE CONTROLLER
The receiver’s radio remote control is much more powerful than previously commercially available Bluetooth connections. It allows you to pass the frequency and output of the UT 9012 TX generator over long distances. This eliminates the tedious back and forth operations, thus saving time.

PASSIVE DETECTION
Passive detection involves detecting signals already in cables or pipes with the receiver only. This measurement method is suitable for active power and telecom cables as well as metal gas and water pipes.
ACTIVE DETECTION
The UT 9012 TX generator with active detection generates a frequency on the metal tube that needs to be located. The pipe can be energized by direct contact or – if there is no access – by induction.
can be energized. This process gives precise positioning results even in harsh environments.
LOCATION WITH PROBES
Using probes for positioning means that non-metal pipes can be inserted by inserting a fiberglass rod into the pipeline. The fiberglass rod is equipped with an embedded copper wire so that it can be energized by the UT 9012 TX generator and inserted using the UT 9000 R receiver. In this way, the path of the pipe in question can be determined very quickly and accurately. A probe is used to clearly identify the end of the fiberglass rod. This small battery powered transmitter generates its own field, which is precisely detected by the UT 9000 R receiver. Exact depth can also be measured. The probe can also be used without the use of a fiberglass rod. This opens up a wide range of uses with pipeline cleaning, duct cameras and other applications.
